#1 Postby Shivani » Wed Oct 15, 2014 10:37 am

Maharashtra & Haryana have started voting today to get new governments, nearly 100 million Indians will vote.Media has given these elections a name of test of Narendra Modi & his government as well. This thing has become more prominent after BJP decided to fight these elections alone & they are trying to encash his popularity this time.

Maharashtra is witnessing a five-cornered contest (Congress, Nationalist Congress Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) for the 288 member House. Their are around 4,119 candidates in the fray whose fate will be decided by the votes of the people.

Haryana is also facing a multi cornered contest like Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Randeep Surjewala (Congress), former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala's son Abhay, daughter-in-law Naina and grandson Dushyant (Indian National Lok Dal), and Gopal Kanda (Haryana Lokhit Party). Former Union Minister Venod Sharma-led Jan Chetna Party and former MP Kuldeep Bishnoi-led Haryana Janhit Congress (BL).In Haryana around 1,351 candidates are contesting for around 90 seats.

Lets see who emerge out as a winner in these polls..
