The HCL-Microsoft handshake | The Fortune Fone Microsoft Lumia 540
Soon after the launch of the Giant Mega-buster Lumia 640XL, Microsoft’s upcoming plans are for the premium launch of Lumia 540 which is expected to be available in May, 2015.
The Lumia 5 Series was a big success compared to its predecessors. The major idea behind the Lumia 5 Series launch was to provide enhanced user experience to the Indian youth in particular. It attracted the youth in a fantabulous manner. The company focused primarily on proving a wide range of colors. The Lumia 5 series is made available in White, Black, Orange, Green, Yellow, Cyan, Red, Gray and Blue colors. The Lumia 5 Series handsets are primarily Value for Money handsets.
The predecessors of the Lumia Series which were the Nokia Asha phones were not compatible for using 3G network. This shortcoming was overcome and Microsoft came up with the Lumia 5 Series smartphones which now supports 3G network.
The latest baby in the basket, from Microsoft, the Lumia 540 is a GPRS enabled Dual Micro Sim smartphone. The phone will be made available with a big 5.0 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. An additional feature known as “Clear black Display”. This technology helps in reducing the reflections which provides enhanced visual image quality. This will surely be an added advantage for the users.
The main attraction is the OS of the phone which will be the latest Windows 8.1. With 8MP as rear camera and 5MP as front camera Microsoft wants to make it clear to its competitors that THEY are not novice in this smartphone industry.
Also, keeping in view the ongoing trend wherein the young generation today majorly likes playing music and using internet 24/7, the phone has a giant battery of 2200 mAh providing a Talk time of up to 26 hours and music playback time of up to 81 hours.
With HCL as the national distributor for Nokia/Microsoft, Microsoft has an added advantage of making its products available deep into rural India. HCL has a reach in 15000 towns across 664 districts in India. Its network reaches more than 80000 retail outlets with over 800 Direct and Micro Distributors and over 400 Channel Partners across India.
