Reverse Marketing is letting your customers choose your brand without asking them to do so. Does it mean marketing has no role to play in such a context?
No way, Marketing still holds its stead but the shades are different.
For Reverse Marketing you need to tell the world how good your product but do not ask them to buy it, let them choose you. It's all about building a foundation for the customers, its about loyalty and trust in your product.
Planned righly, Reverse Marketing is a very effective method of Marketing.

Reverse Marketing is a new concept whereby the customers will seek out to the company rather than the company trying to sell their products to the customers. It is a new concept gaining popularity every passing day.

The main motive of reverse marketing is to build trust which would encourage the customers to choose the company and come to the brand themselves. Lets take Dove’s attraction marketing campaign for example. What they did was they reminded women that ‘they are indeed beautiful’ and by choosing Dove, they are celebrating that beauty rather than advertising themselves as ‘you are flawed until you use Dove’. This was where the difference lied and this was why this campaign was universally acclaimed.

Therefore, new as it may seem, Reverse marketing is definitely a strategy a company should adopt as it will definitely bring that necessary change in the company.

In reverse marketing company don’t go to the customer instead of this customer come to company or product. This can done by providing the customer relevant information about the product without asking them to buy. One can use different medium of advertising, such as T.V, print magazine and online media. There are many ways to use reverse marketing like by knowing what customers find important, provide them a good reason to buy that product from you and offer them value for the product.

Reverse marketing:- A new way of marketing
In today’s world companies are facing a very similar kind of problem that is decreasing share of loyal customer. So what to do? To solve this problem companies are going to adopt a new marketing strategy “reverse marketing”. Instead of traditional marketing i.e. to tell customer why to buy their products, companies are telling them the qualities of their company it will help them to create a positive image of their companies as a result whenever customer want any product they go and search the products of respective companies which in turn increase both the sales of the company and also able to generate more loyal customer.
Advantage of using reverse marketing:-
• Increase more loyal customer.
• Increase sales.
• Word of mouth publicity
As compare to traditional marketing it is quite complex to implement these type of marketing strategy since it is not so simple to create a positive image of the company.

Reverse marketing is one type of marketing strategy. These strategies help or encourage consumers to seek out a company or a product on their own. Companies will do this in different variety of ways but the common method is to provide right information to consumers. This concept implemented by Patagonia’s, actually they didn’t try to convince customers about their products just they give reason to believe the company itself is eco-friendly. A company that sells goods can use reverse marketing to improve brand rather than giving awareness about products. For this made ads which will tells about the principles of the company that will increase the customer loyalty. The first step of any reverse marketing plan should be an honest of the company’s current image, and then we can attract customers.
There are different ways to use reverse marketing strategies like
1) Know what your customer find important,
2) Give the customer a reason to come to you, and
3) Offer the customer something of value before close a sale

Reverse marketing is any marketing strategy that encourages consumers to seek out a company or a product on their own, rather than a company trying to sell specific products to consumers. Companies do this in a wide variety of ways, but the most common method is to provide valuable information to consumers without asking them to purchase anything.
Key Features of Reverse Marketing

Though there are many different ways to use reverse marketing strategies, every method follows the same principles:

Know what your customers find important.
Give the customer a reason to come to you.
Offer the customer something of value before attempting to close a sale.

A business that sells goods can use reverse marketing to improve the company's brand or image, rather than just raising awareness about products. For example, the Patagonia campaign consisted of ads that featured many of the company's products, but the message of the ads was about the principles of the company itself. By redirecting attention away from goods and toward the business, Patagonia or any retailer using reverse marketing techniques can create customer loyalty to the company regardless of what its products are.

Reverse Marketing

#7 Postby ISTTMmasthanvali » Fri May 09, 2014 4:28 pm

Firstly to start with, what is marketing..?
It is a process in which a company adopts different ways
in seeking the customers attention to purchase their product.

Now, What is Reverse marketing..?
It is an experimentally successful marketing strategy where in
the customer seeks his/her attention towards a product or service

The built-in value of the product which has been existing over long time, make the people to come and buy as of their own interest, which is called as LOYALTY.
But the concept of REVERSE MARKETING is different, as the companies which are adopting this strategy are very new to the market and competing with giants.
Instead of convincing the customers to buy products, companies are trying to make them believe about the value of the product. The principles involved in this concept are simple to understand, but the implementation strategies are quite complex.
