Reverse Marketing - Can it work for SMS

It won’t work just like traditional marketing. Because,not everyone considers SMS as reliable source of information. I came across the people who don’t even look at the SMS and bother about the content in it.

With the SMS content one can understand the purpose of the marketing activities of a particular company which can help in initiating the discussion. Secondly, one needs a contact number to touch base with an employee of the company who is marketing. Some companies do give direct contact numbers specially companies related to training, institutes, travel & real estate where it can work easily.

However most of the time one might find the number given is of a junior person who might not help much in getting deals, hence one can try reaching a decision maker in such cases.

Reverse marketing can surely work for SMS but in my opinion SMS may not work equally good in all the businesses rather they work being sector specific ..
Its beneficial in sector's like Real Estate , BFSI , Tour n Travels , Telecommunication to name a few .

Reverse marketing is basically selling your product to the company or an individual who is trying to sell their product to you...It depends on product to product...

Sometimes it can be done in the following manner on the SMSes which we receive...
- If we get a message from any no. then we can directly call to that person and can take details from him (like name, no. etc of decision maker of the company) or can directly talk to him...
- If we receives a message from an unflashesd no . from any company than we can penetrate that company and can suggest them our product...

Yes, reverse marketing can work for SMS because every day most of the SMS we received are from sellers & reverse marketing means- market your product to a seller and make him buyer of your product (making your Sellers your Prospective Buyer)..

SMS is a good source of getting contacts of sellers hence it can be used for reverse marketing.

No, I don't think that reverse marketing will work for SMS...Because today every one is busy that hardly do they pay any attention to SMS.

And as far as reverse marketing is concerned it should be taken forward very specifically.

I remember there was a time when message Inboxes are overflowed with the marketing SMSes, however it has been effected from the last 1 year due to the change in TRAI regulations..

These unwanted SMSes can be easily used for reverse marketing,

1. It's very clear that these organizations are spending money in marketing, if you have a service or product that can match their needs.. here is a lead for you.. .

2. Some of these messages are so informational that they even contain the websites and contact numbers of the people who take decisions.. what else a sales guy needs to target a company.

As per my experience in my last company (which was a digital marketing company) I have used them a lot.. and literally speaking ., IT WORKS..

Yes Reverse Marketing Can work for SMS also..Reverse marketing is all about making your Sellers your buyer..It will be even great if your target segment is Real Estate or BFSI Sector because most of the SMSes are received from these two industry..These SMS Contain contact details of Sales representative you can talk to them and try and extract information about decision makers in their company...Once you have name of decision maker with you you can penetrate company easily...
