For its Big Billion Day sale Flipkart has been advertising from last few weeks.Some other ecommerce sites like Snapdeal & Amazon are also running some same kind of deals since long.Even their deals remain on there websites for a whole day, but something else has happened in Flipkart's case.According to some sources Flipkart's Big Billion Day is just about Flipkart aims to do business of more than 1 billion in one day on 6th October 2014.

Although till now no one is pretty clear about the same that if Flipkart has already achieved its sale target by 2pm but most of the deals will not be processed anymore. At around 2pm, most of the seller accounts of third party vendors on Flipkart have been put as pending which clearly means that no more orders will be taken for the same day & most of the products status is been displayed as 'out of stock'

If you say that there are still some discount offers on the home page, then you are correct in this case they are visible but essentially the sale is over.The main reason behind this is Flipkart has already received more than 3,00,000 orders in the first 6 hours of the sale its a figure which is really huge for company's logistics team to process.While the sale was running, Twitter was full of complaints against the site crashing and giving errors, orders disappearing from shopper carts and deals going out of stock as soon as they went live.
