Yes we should be thankful for what we have, a satisfied person is the happiest person on this earth. You will find millions of people on this earth who does not even have a house to live and are facing lot of difficulties but still they are happy. A contented person who is happy with available resources lives the life in true sense.

In short I will say you should have a burning desire to achieve but at the same time should be thankful and happy for what you have.

Happiness is more a state of mind than a product of what you possess and how much do you possess. Unless we learn to be in equilibrium with what we have and same time strive to attain what we need happiness will be a everlasting mirage for us.

While I was waiting for my train at Dadar railway station , I preferred the time to be utilized for crying because I couldn't score as much as I had expected. It was a very sad moment for me. I was heart broken. While I was weeping my tears , there came a lady who sat next to me. She looked at me with a very astonishing smile. I was very busy crying , hence I didn't look at her. As she saw me crying , she asked me the reason for the same. I was not in a right frame of mind to answer her. However she kept on asking me, out of irritation I answered her by saying that I have scored less marks and requested her to leave me alone. She smiled at me and kept her hand over my shoulder. She said "beta I know you are upset , but don't worry improve next time. You are lucky at least you have next time. Think about them who don't even have them. Out of curiosity , I asked her who? So she said look at my case. I am a widow with three children at home. My elder son is paralyzed and a complete dumb. My second son is blind & deaf and my daughter who is just four years old , she is fighting with a cancer and the most unfortunate part is I don't have money for their treatment." Tears rolled down from my eyes. She told me be happy & be thankful for whatever you have. Life is very short to complain. It's better to keep smiling , keep fighting and be thankful for whatever you have.

That day was a lesson for me & I realized how do we get carried away with small problems, but life is not about regretting and crying, it's about being happy and thankful to God , parents and everyone around you for whatever you have.

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were u the one who changed my sign this morning? What did u write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what u said but in a different way."
What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day & I cannot see it."

Do u think the first sign & the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story:

Be thankful for what you have.

Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.
