Social media marketing can simply be termed as generating business through different social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, You tube and Blogging.
In order to market a company's product and services, social media is used. Social media marketing helps in reaching new customers and engage existing customers as well. There are various social media services. for eg. Blog SEO, Social Networking, Viral Video marketing, new blog Creation etc.

Social Media marketing is the way of marketing using Social Media like facebook,twitter, LinkedIn. As we know more than 65 million of Indians have their presence on facebook so it is effective way to increse the visibility online.

Some of the social media websites like Facebook and twitter have their own tools to fascilitate social media marketing. The traffic on the websites can be incrased dramaticall by using these tools.

The social media helps to find out the perfect age group on which one can focus to increase the sales. It is one of the powerfull tool to find out the ambiguities in the prototype of product before launching.

Social Media is really a great idea if someone wants to increase their visibility and sales.

Modern time have shown social media as the crux and one of the more essential parts of e-marketing. Any new event or function happens it has now become a trend that people tweet about it or have an event created on it in facebook and other social networking sites. It tells us how the world has evolved from the days of marketing in posters, banners to radio and television ads to digital platforms like social media. It has also helped people make aware about what they are missing if they are not present for a certain event. Things get posted instantly as and when it occurs. social media marketing has also helped increase wider audience target group of people and helped in conveying people the messages about an event instantly at the click of a button.

Social media are those websites, Services and Platforms that people use to share experiences and opinions with each other. It covers everything from Social Networks(users share the details of their own lives) to social bookmarking services (Users share the sites and articles they like) and include blogs, Microblogs and other forms of online communities.
The major reason why people visit Social media sites is Entertainment and second is Learning. So as a Social Media Marketer one should keep this in mind that his post should be engaging, attractive, colorful and should have some value addition. “Trust” is the key term in social media marketing. People will revisit your post only if they find it authentic. It takes long time to build trust and only one wrong post to break it.

When the underlying message spreads from user to user and presumably resonates because it appears to come from a trusted, third-party source, as opposed to the brand or company itself, this form of marketing results in earned media rather than paid media.

Social media is in a trend these days. Everyone is locked up in this world of social media. Be it youngsters or older people everyone is having their facebook accounts. Similarly social media marketing is also increasing. It is very beneficial though. Out of 24 hrs, 10-12 hrs people are online on social media, so organisations are grabbing this opportunity and are doing their marketing on social media sites. Social media helps in connecting a large number of audience at one time, what better option will be there for the organisations to promote their products and services to large number of options. Moreover social media marketing is convenient, cheap and fast. Every organisation is having their facebook page, linkedin page, twitter page. This helps in attracting consumers. As the trend is changing, it is very necessary to change with the trend and adopt them as they are very effective. We should not resist change and stick to traditional methods of marketing.

For instance, Twitter is a social site designed to let people share short messages or “updates” with others. Facebook, in contrast is a full-blown social networking site that allows for sharing updates, photos, joining events and a variety of other activities.
Social media gives marketers a voice and a way to communicate with peers, customers and potential consumers. It personalizes the "brand" and helps you to spread your message in a relaxed and conversational way.
•We can use social media to provide an identity to who we are and the products or services that we offer.
•We can create relationships using social media with people who might not otherwise know about our products or service or what our companies represent.
•Social media makes us "real" to consumers. If you want people to follow you don't just talk about the latest product news, but share your personality with them.
•We can use social media to associate ourselves with our peers, that may be serving the same target market.
•We can use social media to communicate and provide the interaction that consumers look for.

This is basically for promoting or marketing our product by using social tools for getting new customers or to reach target customers
A good social media strategy making lots of difference and conducting campaigns in social media will improves customer satisfaction levels and business development and we will get to know about what people are exactly waiting
there are many social tools and platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest
These are the ways to attract visitors to website
>add social media features to content e.g:RSS feed,social news,share buttons,user rating, polling, gaming, third party functions for images and videos
>in existing social media by blogging, posting, discussion, groups moderation
