The difference between a big business and small business depends upon the number of sales, turnover, workers and market share of the company.
Small business have less number of sales, low turnover, less workers and less market share.

While Big business have more number of sales, more turnover, more number of workers and good range of market share compared to small business.

Big business refers to the large corporations in collective or individual sense.
Small business refers to a privately operated or owned business.

Big business = corporations
Small business = sole proprietor/partnership
