When we talk about sales , we mostly have do deal with numbers/figures, it might be of profit/cost /sales/inventory. Numbers plays a very important part in life of any salesperson. This calls for a very efficient method of sales which hence demands for Standardization. If the sales method are standardized then it would be easy on the part of the manger to evaluate the results. The standardization can cover many aspects beginning from standardization of salespersons training to the MIS systems, invoicing system , customer complaints,Inventory Management System etc.It this is achieved, then the organization can work smart to increase the sales since it will be able to use the economies of scale.Besides this, if the system is standardized even low skilled employees can execute the work. This phenomenon is popularly called "Paraskilling". Organizations like Apple, McDonalds, P & G use this method to boost its sales.

Standardization is important for sales because it allows for predictable revenue streams. It allows you to measure and recreate what works, while identifying and fixing what isn't working. Without standardization, things aren't measurable and scalable.

Standarization is important for any kind of business and needs to be practised in each and every organisation to become more efficient and reliable. Now days we see that organisations are growing fast but don't have a standarized process in place, due to which they are lacking behind their competitors. Standarization of business process is critical for the success of a firm.Imagine a manufacturing company who is in the business of producing bearings. So it will be having various machines which are exported from abroad. Those machines need standarization every month, otherwise they will not work efficiently. If the company is not investing in the Standarization of their machines then their processes will become obsolete and will not earn them any profit. This will definitely affect the sales of the company. So,to be completely updated is the need of the hour for any business to run.So, Standarization of departments is also done in which the people working in each department are updated as per the latest trend in the industry.

Yes, definitely standarization do boost up your sales. If all your processes are in place, working perfect then nobody can defeat you in sales. So,Standarization is not a tough process. It does a lot of good to a company like improvement in quality, cost and improve in sales. The other advantages which I see are firstly, with standarization a company is known in the market as a brand.Secondly,if it is standarized it does not need to invest more in R&D.Thirdly, other big businesses knows you as you have become standarized in your domain. So the days are coming when you can be the market leader in your business domain.

Standarization-Important for sales

Standardization of Business Processes intends to improve performance and to give management more control over operational performance. (The most popular measure for performance is the cost of executing the process. Although it is no less important, the quality of the results is less often considered.) Finally, the impact on other business processes needs to be considered, such as the ability to apply the standard performance measures and, thus, compare a unit’s performance with
others. Advantages from standardization, beyond direct cost and quality improvements, include

1. The process becomes more reliable; variations in quality shrink.
2. Less expenses in development of innovative new practices, and less expenses in the administration of processes
3. Comparing the performance between different units of an organization becomes easier.
4. Process standardization is an important prerequisite for the standardization of IT systems
