Yes, Self Motivation is immensely required for sales job. Self motivation build the inner confidence which will lead to touch the colours of the sky. Nobody can motivate the person who is occupied by negativity. Due to work load and lost deals, the self morale of the successful person also goes down. So we should motivate ourselves time to time and build our morale. There is nothing in this world what a human cannot do. So just have faith & believe in yourself. Figure out the mistakes & take a learning from those mistakes and move on with a beautiful smile on the face.

according to my opinion, self motivation is an absolutely important parameter in sales jobs.
self motivation gives us self confidence in order to drive forward in life.
It gives you the power to believe in your abilities and trust your potentials to accomplish something in life.
Self motivation should be an everyday exercise for a sales person.
he should motivate himself everyday to rise above his targets and excel in his work.
Without elf motivation he/she will lose the drive to work.

Self motivated employees are likely to be more enthusiastic about their work and they are also likely to take initiatives. When hiring firms look for employees that are self motivated.

Self motivation begins with having a goal. When you're in sales, you should have short term goals regarding the sales targets you're supposed to achieve and long term goals pertaining to your position in the organization. Be it higher pay, respect and admiration of colleagues or a promotion, there are things that all the members of the organization want, these needs and wants should be utilized to make constructive efforts.

In a job such as sales when depending on your industry and product you might have to face rejection often from potential buyers it becomes very important to focus on your goals and how your efforts are taking you a step closer to where you want to be in the organization.

To be successful, you should always keep yourself motivated. There should always be that urge to do something more, something to push oneself that extra mile.

Motivation can be in many ways, Monetary or non monetary. It can also be through peers or from within. Self motivation is one of the best ways to keep you in the game. You are not dependent on others. You know your strengths and weakness and can work accordingly to enhance your skills. In sales, you have heavy targets and deadlines to achieve. A proper planning and self motivation can help you achieve that. Consider a situation, where you have almost finalised a deal but are receiving a cold shoulder from the customer end. You have tried enough, and if there is lack of motivation to bring back the sales, you’ll fail. In such situations, one should fight back, push themselves and make things in their favor.

Therefore, self motivation is an important key to success. It helps to mould ones personality and make them ready to face the ever ready competitive world.

Self motivation is very important in sales job. Sales job is a very crucial job which one needs to undergo. The specified person there in should have good communication skills, negotiating skills with the customer and convincing power. In sales job, heavy targets are given to him. Nowadays even consumers have become smart that they do not come in the sweet words of the salesperson. So salesperson should think of something new and innovative to attract customers. They should maintain daily targets and then see to it whether what is planned is achieved or not. When salesperson face rejection it is only self motivation that works. They should have self confidence and they should not depend on anyone for motivation because, it is them only who have to motivate themselves. They should plan things accordingly, so when targets are achieved they also feel motivated to work and feel job satisfaction which in turns boosts their confidence and motivates them to work more harder.

A good sales manager always keeps his/her team motivated. To motivate the team first the manager should get motivated. The self motivation is the only way which drives the manager to perform good even when all is going wrong.
There are 7 ways to motivate yourself. They are as follows:
1. Set a specific tareget or commission you want to make in short set your goal.
2. Always compare your present target to previous high one so that you can motivate that you can make more and more.
3. Divide your goals in small goals.
4. Always decide in advance that how you reward youself when you achieve your first mini goal.
5. Don't procrastinate, try to complete the difficult one first.
6. Whenever you feel down due to low sales go through the previous success you made and that made you motivate that next success is near by you.
7. Break big jobs into small pieces and switch to unrelated task for few minutes so you will stay fresh.
