According to me self motivation is the most important tool in sales.
Its the key of success because a sales person faces a lot of rejections every day & by keeping himself motivated he can come back & give his best shot.
We can see that the sales person who can't handle pressure & are not able to motivate themselves leave organisations.
So one should always keep themselves motivated & try to give their best shot, the result will surely improve...

Self Motivation plays a very important role in sales.In sales job there is always pressure of achieving targets.A person feels demotivated if targets are not achieved but if he/she is self motivated than they will overcome the situation .For self motivation a person must have:
1)Positive attitude
2)Hard Working
3)Focusing on his/her weak areas
4)Always ready to perform

Yes.. Self Motivation works in sales.. You should keep a positive attitude.. Try to make regular meetings with positive and motivated people. The more you learn, the more confident you become in starting things.

Keep a progress chart of your work, When you see something growing you will always want to maintain the same. Share your thought and plans, help collegues get motivated. By seeing others perform well, will motivate you to do the same. :) :)

Yes, self motivation works a lot in sales job...As we all know that in sales if some person performs in a particular month then he is praised by everyone and at the very next month if he fails to achieve his target then he has to listen a lot from everyone and at that time self motivation works...

A person can keep himself self motivated to achive his target in these ways-
- He should remain self confident
- More hard work
- More concentration towards their customers
- Positive approach
- Track your progress
- Keep on learning
- Take advice from your seniors

This way your self motivation will become your sales success...

There's nothing better than self-motivation in sales. Remember the saying of Henry Ford "If you believe you can do a thing, or if you believe you can't, in either case you're probably right", seems like it was said for salespersons. A salesperson that has trouble getting and staying motivated will not last very long. Selling is an occupation that is self-weeding. Those who don’t perform consistently will be weeded out by their lack of results.

Selling can be the most difficult, disheartening, depressing job in the world. Or it can be the most exciting, rewarding, stimulating job in the world. All this can and will happen in the space of a few hours. To be truly motivated, sales people must be able to handle the ups and downs of the selling cycle and be able to mentally smooth out the peaks and valleys so that they don’t get discouraged and give up. Some steps that can help sales people to stay motivated :
1) First is to choose a job that satisfies. This itself feel help him to be highly motivated and energised.
2) Periodically review your efforts that have helped others.
3) Live in the now. Enjoy what you are doing and with whom you are doing it.
4) You must believe in the product
5) The way the product is packaged and presented will influence the customer's decision to buy. Hence talk politely but confidently with the customers.

Yes self motivation works in sales jobs.. because in sales if you are not self motivated to achieve your targets rest assured nothing else can motivate you to do the same or we can say if you are self motivated to achieve/over achieve your targets no one can stop you to do the same..I must say not only in sales self motivation works everywhere & comes before any motivational factor.. believe me the moment you say yes I can do it whether that task is near to impossible you will see all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

Yes definitely, Self-motivation works in Sales Jobs, It drives us to keep moving ahead.. It is the means of realizing our goals and progress, It is the faith that makes us believe that we possess the required skills and competencies for achieving the challenging goals

Some of the ways to keep oneself motivated..

- Be optimistic : Be positive, see the good in bad. When encountering obstacles, you should be in the habit of finding what works to get over them.
- Keep Learning : Read as much as you can and grasp the logic. Learning makes an individual more confident in commencing new assignments.
- Do regular exercises. Have proper sleep. Have tea/coffee during breaks to refresh you.
- Keep recording your performance, try to maintain a graph, When you see something growing you will always want to nurture it.
- Get a buddy : communicate , talk with people regarding you hard time.

Yes self motivation works in sales jobs as when you are working in an organisation you should think for the organisation .
When you take determination that you have to work, than what ever may come in front of you nobody can change you decision.

When some one talk good about you, your energy level is so high and you get motivated. They can be your colleagues, friends,
wife, or any one with whom you can share your ideas. If they talk good about you feel very good and get confidence that you are working in a right track.

When we are in trouble worried about our targets at that point self motivation works a lot. One should be motivated that with his performance the revenue of company will be generated ,he should never loose hope and always think positive . There is also a famous Quote about sales man "Once asked from sales man what is your best performance he said my next month targets" so he should always be self motivated that he can achieve targets and can become a go-getter personality ....

Yes, Self Motivation helps in sales job..
It is imp for a sales professional to be self motivated, as it drives individual to keep moving towards success... one can keep himself motivated continuously following these simple rules.
Think Positive
Make small goals & than do Self assessment of its failure/Success. Learning from every target achieved.
Discover your strong area.
And the most important is your team support.

Self Motivation is the only thing which works in sales...One of the leading Sales guru mentioned in his book "In sales it is easy to get motivated, but difficult to remain motivated".

One can remain self motivated by setting realistic goals for himself daily and achieving them by the end of the day. One should understand "Rome was not built in a day" Philosophy if you want to achieve your goals you need to take regular small steps to achieve them and once you achieve them it starts motivating you to set bigger goals.

Second most important thing is develop an attitude of gratitude, it is your attitude which will help you in remaining motivated even in toughest circumstances.

So if you have right attitude and you are getting those small success daily it will help you in remaining self motivated.
