I feel people today are not ready to understand this concept of reverse marketing though logically it looks correct because of an additional step involved in it

All the industries can have the advantage but the strongest advantage is for service industry which are offering services to all Companies eg Telecom, IT , Training, Travel, Hospitality , Banking , Insurance, Finance etc.

It is clear for any company to do reverse marketing it should be a little known in the market . meaning before any company plans to do reverse marketing they should have done simple normal marketing first so that the sellers also start approaching them

Reverse Marketing - New Concept ; New Definition
Simple - When you market your product to a seller and make him buyer of your product meaning making your Sellers your Prospective Buyer
Have we ever thought that the seller(individual / corporate) who comes to sell their product, can also become our prospect. Today everywhere we find that thousands of sellers approach any company and all the companies waste a huge market of hidden prospects in sellers. So if we strategise , we can convert many sales leads from the sellers itself.
Today each company receives:
1.Hundreds of Emails offering various service every day .
2. Hard copy brouchers / mailers every day
3. Telephone Calls by sellers to connect with various functional heads
What does the companies currently do:
1. Put on firewalls to stop these sort of mails
2. Not reaches to the concerned person as he has instructed to destroy.
3. Instructions given not to transfer the call as it is a time waste
If we see carefully we loose a huge market from these 3 activities .
In turn what we should do to bring this new market in the fold from where you can generate new sales lead:
1. Instead of putting a filter for mails , ensure that all these mails are redirected to one Presales Executive
2. Similar Hard Copy brouchures also reach the same presales executive
3. Telephone calls are also redirected to same presales executive.
Once the sales executive receives these inputs , he can very carefully weigh which cos are those where he can sell his products and then redirect it to his sales team.By just putting one person to receive all these presales material and processing it , it is sure that many of them shall get converted into sales leads giving the company a huge cost advantage
So in reverse marketing it is all about taking advantage of inbound selling queries and converting them into sales enquiries and seeing the sale of the company grow.
