Charisma Obviously- no doubt about it. There should be knowledge of what to to do....and thats the reason we have IAS as Secretaries for them who guide the leaders on what to do.
A politician should be loved by people. People go along with him..listen to him...follow him and thats very much necessary as to prevent the group of people converting into mob. Degree is given for very specific subject..for deeper knowledge...a Politician doesn't require that much..

PM Candidate - Degree or Charisma ?

A very important thing that we need to understand is it is not your degree or your grades that can decide an individual's charisma and his potential. There are people who are blessed with resources and supportive family. Their parents make them competent enough to reach to the level of the success. However , this doesn't mean that they can be equally competent as a leader.

Taking the case of Mr. Rahul Gandhi. He is believed to be an alumni of Cambridge University. He has been awarded as CNN IBN Indian of the Year in the Politics. However he couldn't prove himself with that charisma as required by any top notch political leader or to be precise as a PM candidate. On the other hand when we consider a case of Mr. Narendra Modi , he doesn't have any degree from some prestigious college neither does he comes from some highly influential family , but his presence and his work speaks for all. We all know how hard working and competent Mr.Mod is. Through his work he proved himself in Gujarat & now he is doing exceptionally well for our country India.

Hence, to conclude with it is not just your degree and grades that counts in life but it's your continuous hard work and dedication to do better everyday makes you different and unique.
