Marketing management is basically how you apply the marketing techniques and strategies practically. It is the implementation of the techniques and tools which are decided by the managers. For this, the managers should have complete information about the firm, the in detail knowledge of the firm, about their resources etc. Then only they can better apply the strategies and can judge accordingly which strategy will suit the organisation. Moreover, they should also have the insights about the market in which they are operating. This helps in effective and efficient implementation of the goals and objectives set. For this, the firm can use of porter's five model to analyze the market and about its firm. Marketing management often finds it necessary to invest in research to collect the data required to perform accurate marketing analysis. They should also see the environmental challenges that they will face when they do a research about it.

Marketing Management program is designed for encounter all the basic challenges in the industry how a company decides what to sell, which costumers and markets to target and the best means of reaching them.
Marketing Management consists two words Marketing and Management, Marketing is the process of satisfying the needs and wants of the costumers and Management is the process of planning, directing coordinating, and controlling, of various activities of a firm therefor Marketing Management is Management of Marketing activities.
Management guru Philip Kotler defines :- " Marketing Management is the analysis, planning and control of programs designed to bring about the desired exchanges with target audiences for the purpose of personal and mutual gain.

Marketing is a process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want by creating and exchanging products and values with others. It is the delivery of customer satisfaction at a profit. Thus Marketing Management is defined as the planning and implementation of programs designed to create, build and maintain beneficial exchanges with target buyers for the purpose of achieving organizational objectives. Marketing Management involve s Demand Management and Building Profitable Customer Relationships. Marketing Management is concerned not only with finding and increasing demand, but also with changing or reducing it. Managing demand means managing customers. Customers do marketing when they search for the goods they need at the prices they can afford. The goal of marketers is to understand the needs and wants of specific markets and to select the markets that they can serve the best and in return develop products that will help in sales and profit to the company. In short we can say Marketing Management is building customers relationships.
