Marketing is the art of selling things and market is the medium where you do it. Market is where you find your most prized asset, your customers.
Marketing includes promotion, branding, publicity, packaging, pricing, different strategies to boost sales.
And the market is the place where the seller meets the buyer and tries to persuade him to buy the product he is offering.
For instance, when we see our favourite stores announcing a 50% off or a big discount offer, its a marketing strategy they come up with.
and in this instance, the store is our market, i.e. the place where the customers meet the seller.
Marketing plays a major role in boosting the sales for a company.
startting from market research for analysing the need of a particular product to selling to a customer, marketing has a major role to play.

Market is an object, it's a place where transactions between the buyers and sellers take place, while marketing is a set of activities that focus on finding out what the customers value , it's about identifying what the customers value and creating and communicating that value. While differentiating the two we can also focus on the companies that have product focus and companies that have marketing focus. All the companies come into existence to serve a customer base, however some companies focus on an assortment of products, they focus on improving these products and adding value to them, these are product focus companies. Some companies focus on finding out the needs of the customers and innovating them, these are marketing focus companies. However a company doesn't always have to choose between the two. Most companies integrate traits of both these strategies to serve their customers.

Market is a very broad term and it can be on the basis of geography, on the basis of a product and on the basis of many other factors. It can also be defined as a group of people who shares some common characteristics or interests. On the basis of a product it will be the group of those people who are able to buy and willing to pay for that product.

Marketing is very different from market as it is a strategy to identify the need of the customer in that market, make the product which suits their requirement and provide post sales services to the customer.

In short marketing is a strategy to study the market keeping the product in mind.

Market is a place where the buyers meet the sellers. Market can broadly be defined as a place where companies come up with their new products that satisfies the buyers and the buyers in turn buy the products to satisfy their needs. Market is the demand of the product or the brand. It deals with a basic yet a simple question "How many people are out there who WANT to buy and CAN buy the product?"Marketing on the other hand may be defined as a collection of processes which include promotion, branding, understanding customer orientation their needs and customer satisfaction needs. In other words marketing can be defined as the process by which companies create value for customers and build strong customer relationships in order to capture value from the customers in return.

Market is totally different from marketing. Marketing is a place where buyers and sellers meet and carry out the activity of buying and selling. It is where goods and services are sold and also can be bought. Whereas, marketing is a process within the organisation where you try to promote and establish your products and services in the market. You try take steps which helps people to notice your product is marketing. Thus, advertising, promotion, branding, positioning etc all these come under marketing. Marketing process is applied in the market. As market is a place where buyers and sellers meet, when you do marketing of products and services in market, buyers and sellers will notice your product and hence can buy your product also. So, this is how marketing works and this is the difference between marketing and market. However, we can say that market comes under marketing as it is the place where you do your marketing process. It is one of the aspects of the marketing.

Market is different from marketing: but how..
Market, which is the main focus of any marketer for marketing, would not be the wrong statement it we will take about these two terminology of business. Though market is the part of marketing strategies so the point comes it these two term are different from each other then what is the difference now the main competition is all about marketing of any product because consumer are well aware of product so manufacturing is the process to establish the product into the market (which is the place, need to be carefully investigated for segmenting, targeting and positioning).
Market is about where to invest, install and position but marketing is the planning, organizing , controlling and evaluating process done by the marketer.
