Market is basically a group of people who are willing to buy something & on the other hand marketing is the process of trying to get this group of people interested in buying the product.

Market is a place where people (buyers & sellers) meet in order to buy & sell products/services.
Marketing is an activity performed by the companies in order to establish their product/services in the market.
it includes activities like advertising, promotion, brand awareness etc which companies adopt before launching their product/service in the market.

~~Market is a place or can say, a platform where buyer's and sellers meet to exchange the ownership of goods or services....
It is also thought to be a set of individuals or institutions that have similar needs that can be met by a particular product. We can also say that a market is a set of all actual and potential buyers of a market offer. For instances, automobile market includes buyers and sellers of automotive transportation.
Market does't explains any physical platform or location where buyers and sellers met to conduct transactions like a grocery stores or malls. with the advent of technology, the location of marketplace has changed and a new term has been coined i.e., Market space. it describes these electronic marketplaces unbound by time or space. :!: :!:

However, Marketing is an organisational function and a set of processes that work in tandem to serve the market effectively, efficiently and profitably.
According to American Marketing Association , (AMA) Marketing is an organisational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders.

Successful marketing companies will be those who can provide appropriate solutions to customer needs, wants and desires, economically and conveniently and communicate effectively with its target audience.. ~~
