direct marketing is the process of one - one marketing. This type of marketing can be performed through the various advertisement process by performing it on various social media or on other commercial websites.
Now-a-days every e-commerce company utilizing this type of strategy to target their customer directly.
It may be like anything such as bulk e-mails, sms, texts, pop up adds etc.,.
Some of the adds will be social media so that if customer click on that particular add, he/she will be directly redirected to the company's official website.

Direct Marketing is a form of advertising in which physical marketing materials are provided to consumers in order to communicate information about a product or service. Direct marketing does not involve advertisements placed on the internet, on television or over the radio. Types of direct marketing materials include catalogs, mailers and fliers.

Direct marketing is a part of promotion mix. It is an interactive marketing system that uses one or more advertising media to affect a measurable response to any location.
It is a activity by which seller directly target to customer by using various ways like online marketing, telemarketing, mails etc. Direct marketing is used by all type of business. It has selective reach to the customers as they have the database of there target customers they market their product by calling or messaging them for example- Bank calling customers to take the credit cards and offering them discounts etc. It is flexible process as if the customer do not like any scheme they can change or modify according to them so that they can purchase there products.
The main channels of direct marketing are Direct mails, telemarketing, catalog marketing,online marketing.

The activities by which the seller directly efforts to target customers using various ways like phone, email or directly visiting the customer. Direct Marketing includes direct selling, telemarketing, internet selling, television, cable media, etc.
Direct Marketing uses one-step and two-step approach where in one-step sellers use direct marketing to let the customers know about there product by media and then the interested customers reach seller, in two-step sellers effort is to raise the potential buyers by screening there products in front of them and then they follow up the potential buyers to achieve orders.
Sellers are very persuasive when it comes to sell there products they have a database of potential customers and they pursue them by offering them there products with promotional items and various discounts, sellers personalize there deals according to customers so that it attracts customers to buy there product. For Ex- In a car showroom a salesman tries to sell a car by offering customer various free goods with car and discount too, so that the customer buys the same.

Direct Marketing can be defined as Communications where data are used systematically to achieve quantifiable marketing objectives, and where direct contact is made between company and its customer. In direct marketing ,companies reach their customer directly without any intermediary through a medium, such as Internet, telephone, post etc. They often seek a measurable response, typically a customer order through direct order marketing.Marketers try to market their products by reaching the customer through direct forms of marketing and to persuade them to buy their products or services.
The emergence of direct marketing has been one of the most significant development in recent years. the growth of direct marketing has been phenomenal with marketers continuously adopting the latest technologies to derive maximum profits from direct marketing.

Direct marketing sometimes called direct response marketing; refer to the techniques used to get consumers to make a purchase from their home, office, or other non retail setting. Its techniques include tele marketing, direct mail, catalogs and mail order, and electronic retailing. Shoppers using these methods are less bound by traditional shopping situations. Time-strapped consumers and those who live in rural or suburban areas are most likely to be direct response shoppers because they value the convenience and flexibility that direct marketing provides. This type of marketing gives a personal touch to the consumers by creating such a platform. Everyone loves the special personal touch or attention that is received which is provided by marketers with the help of direct marketing. Direct marketing has served as a tool which can instigate an action for the consumers or at least the awareness about the particular product is created. The tools when used significantly can work wonders for the sales in boosting them up.

Amongst its practitioners, it is also referred to as Direct Response Advertising.

Direct marketing is like interacting straight to the customer with advertising tools that includes emails, websites, online display ads,tv,radios, database marketing etc...Direct marketing basic aim is attracting customers towards their product.It gives an immediate result to the business from the customer through advertisement.Direct marketing is used by businesses of all sizes from SME to Top cos.Also, direct marketing builds a strong customer relationship to the customers.

It allows to generate a response from targeted customers. As a result, one can focus their target market audience where they are most likely to get results.

Direct marketing- As the term implies, Direct marketing is a channel based process of promoting products via various methods like SMS/Bulk SMS, E-mails/Bulk E-mails, Online display ads, Fliers, internet popups etc. In other terms, This process could also be termed as a 1-1 marketing tool which aims an individual. The target potential customer could be directly reached, which proves to be an added advantage in the revenue generation as it by-passes many barriers in addressing the customers. The conventional sales method required many more inputs and extensive techniques to generate leads as a result of which the revenue generation was limited.

Another Benefit is that multiple potential customers could be targeted and approached in a single effort, cutting down on time and cost input because more and more people are becoming tech savvy. The arena to showcase the product via a remote method is much bigger. This method has triggered a new trend of Marketing system which can take the Sales to the next level.
