How to face Telephone Interview?

The process of facing an interview and getting the result is a very challenging process. We undergo various thoughts and it is difficult for ourselves to stay calm and positive during that course of time. Talking primarily about the telephonic interview , I personally believe it is the most difficult type of interview for the interviewee and interviewer. The interviewer doesn't get an idea of the candidate's personality & his facial expressions while presenting. Similarly , talking about interviewee the response becomes unexpected for him because he is unable to see whether the interviewer is convinced or not.
Therefore , it is important to follow certain rules. For an interviewer it is important to break the ice by getting involved in a lighter mood questions first and then gradually moving towards the difficult or rather technical questions. Talking about the interviewee it is important to show confidence in his talk. It is important to quote all his success examples even though it is not asked. The method could be revolving the question or the topic around the subject where lies the forte of the candidate. It is important to be dressed well though nothing is seen through telephonic interview , but it boosts an individual's confidence and creates an atmosphere of an interview. The whole process on the phone should be dealt with calmness and clarity. Hence to conclude with 3 C's should be given importance - confidence , calmness and clarity.

Telephonic interview is different from face to face interview in the way that the interviewee cannot see the response he's getting from the interviewer. Many inexperienced interviewees are often left confused by the lack of this familiar face to face interaction that they are accustomed to, the best thing to do in this scenario is to be as expressive and enthusiastic as you'd be when interacting with someone directly, as your mood and your overall tone can be perceived through even a telephonic conversation.

Apart from your tone, you should also focus on listening, you should allow for the person on the other end to finish his/her sentence before starting your sentence or answer.

An interview is the conversation between a manager of an organization and an individual who has opted to work for the manager under a specified profile. When the conversation happens through telephone, it is precisely termed as "Telephonic Interview".
The most vital thing to do before the interview is to prepare for it. An individual who has applied for the interview should look for resources that will give a thorough understanding of the job profile he/she had preferred to work under. The most common pool for this information is the Company's website. Spending dedicated hours to gather information and jotting the points are important to gain confidence on what to speak during the course of interview. Also, go through the resume you submitted to ensure that you have complete understanding of everything specified.
When you get the interview call, don't panic. Find yourself at the most comfortable place in your location equipped with all the materials you collected before the interview. The ideal way to begin the interview is to greet the manager and express how much you were looking forward for the interview. When the interviewer interrogates you, answer the questions with patience and self-confidence which will reveal the interviewer not only how thorough you are on your points but also that you have been preparing for the interview. Avoid giving subtle or vague answers and do not censure or show dominance about what is being asked which might give negative impressions over you. When you are done with the interview, tell the interviewer that you were very comfortable with the way interview was conducted and that you are awaiting the result eagerly. To summarize, give the best possible first impression when you answer the call; be yourself when you answer the questions; and give them the final touch that you will be happy to work for the organization.
Everyone has to keep in mind that there is something called the Post Interview Analysis that you will have to undertake after hanging up the call. Rate yourself based upon how well you were able to perform and introspect the points that need further focus to work upon.

While facing the telephonic interview first we have to keep some points in mind. They are:

As if you are attending a telephonic interview, so you must applied for the job, so clearly have notes about the company and job profile.
next as they will inform you before the time when they may take interview, so remember that you should not outside of your home
and your network should be in good coverage so there should not be any disturbances.
When they call wish politely with a smile in your tone.
Next answer all the question so confidently in fluent and specifically.
First provide them short answers, if they say to explain it then explain it with a appropriate example.
Ned not to get tense answers all the question and be sure that you are audible to them.
After completion of the interview ask your queries and wish them again.
Throughout the interview in tone there should be a smile.
In between the interview you should not eat anything and even should not talk anything.
You should be far from the crowd and disturbances.
If you like to take water ask the permission with them and apologize if any conversation breaks.

While we are speaking on phone (Telephonic interview), We should keep all these point in mind
Before going to speak on phone we should know about company details clearly
And we should very clear about roles and responsibilities
before going to attend call we should be very clear in all aspects and we should be confident.
speak very politely and wish them in polite manner.
Moreover do not shout and if we do not understand any question ask twice and thrice and get clarity.
Give the direct answers to interviewer like we should not explain unnecessary things.
We should have clear picture about our subject then we can answer easily.

When u r giving telephonic interview don't be hesitate. Your voice should be clear, if your voice not clear then the interviewer thinks you are not give your interview properly. so firstly show your confidence when you give telephonic interview, your voice should be clear, when your voice should be clear then interviewer thinks you are confident whatever you says means you know the answer correctly if you give wrong reply after that your clear voice show your confidence. when you give interview sometime they take video telephonic interview they want to seeing your face expression also. How your face express when you give the answer whatever interviewer ask to you. some companies take normal interviews, some companies take telephonic interviews but some companies both means normal and telephonic interview. in your normal interviews they take firstly your aptitude test then technical round after that they take final round means hr round and in your telephonic interviews some time they take aptitude test and some time they don't and in your telephonic round they ask some technical questions and check your confidence through your face expression if you feel hesitate when you give interview then stand front of the mirror and say whatever you think or you feel interviewer ask in the interview means firstly speak your introduction and after that prepare some questions related to your studies because if you give interview for your first job then interviewer definitely ask the question related to your studies but if you give interview for your second or third job then the interviewer ask only your introduction and some questions related your past job.

Telephonic interview is something where I feel more free and confident to answer than a face to face interview ;)
It is very easy...
1) You should be completely free at least 5 minutes before the fixed interview time and try to avoid any interruptions in between.
1) U should have an earphone with you and it is a must to have so that you can hear the interviewer clearly.
2) Be polite confident and honest.Your politeness and confidence must be indicated through you voice whereas your honesty through your replies.
3) You should be clear with your job profile and the company. If possible keep a copy of the same near by you.
4) Keep your resume with you.
5) Reply with a smile ensures the positive attitude in you.
6) Close it by expressing your gratitude towards the interviewer.

In telephonic interviews.. you just have your voice to convince the employer that you are the one that he is searching for.. thus the same should be handled very carefully.
1. Start with Professional greetings.
2. Speak Clear and crisp.
3. Try to smile while talking, it shows the positive energy in you.
4. Be very specific, answer precisely.
5. Close it with warmth
