Dressing , particularly I believe plays an important role in determining about the person's background and seriousness for the job. It is not about the branded dress , but it is about the right dress. For men it should be shirt , trouser and tie well pressed and if it's an interview with a very big firm for a very respectable post ,it is important to carry blazer as well. Similarly for female , if she is dressed in an Indian formal then a dupatta is a must. And if it is western formal then it is important to ensure that it is very decent. Dress must be neat and tidy and it should be well pressed before an interview. Dress creates an impression on an interviewer. It shows the seriousness of a person towards the job. Finally to conclude with it is not about the big brands rather it is important to maintain the clranliness.

Thats funny....but its true.....once I was reading an article on Linkedin.....a person went to interview for the post of Supervisor. Interviewer directly asked him that you don't look like a supervisor. When asked how? He just asked him to roam around the premises and get the responses and respect form juniors....many people asked him who is he? why is he roaming here & there.....HR person asked him to Suit up and come with neat and clean dress with a bold seriousness on his face.....he roamed around and people around them didn't dare to ask who is he..they saluted..some stood up as a respect...

So you need to be dressed up for the job you want.....

Its all about dressing for the job you want, not for the job you have.
