I am not sure about that. Sales is not something that one learns sitting in a classroom. One can definitely learn various sales jargans sitting in a classroom but actual sales is a totally different forte if you ask me, who has been doing sales for more than 2 years.

There are people who never went to a B-school, or even a school and are wonderful in sales. Its not about reading books, its about connecting to your customer at various levels, so that the deals close. A customer also does not really care if a sales man is an MBA or a Harvard Graduate, if he likes what he is being told, what he is being sold and how he is being approached, then sales happen.

I recall one recent incident, where i was sitting with a friend of mine who owns a big confectionery store. Two salesmen walked in who had apparently just finished their MBA's and looked all smart and dressed for the job. They came, exchanged the regular pleasantries and went on about their sales pitch, it was awfully long and lacked even basic communication and skills. He also happened to be from a Tier 2 B-school, which is more than most people get these days.

The last thing the store owner told him was that i got salesmen in my store who have never even been to school and are better at selling than you any given day. That says a lot.

To be a good salesman you need to be on the field and face the customers, facing teachers in a regular classroom does improve your knowledge, but i am sorry to say, does not do anything for you sales skills

Doing MBA doesn't enhance sales skills. Doing MBA means just getting pg certificate, that doesn't helps in sale or marketing career, MBA will helps to learn basic concepts about marketing and sales and it will helps understand business. But if we learn something from MBA-marketing that will helps in career and In MBA most of people will solve different case studies, really that will helps a lot like how to sell a product and how to convince clients and to understand different sales problems. Because from those case studies we will learn lot of practical things, really that will helps in corporate especially in Sales. So my opinion is simply doing MBA doesn't enhance our sales skills, but if we apply concepts which we will learn in MBA in practical scenario that will improve our sale skills.

As i don't know much about MBA coz i am from a diffrenet feild,so dont know whether doing MBA only enhance the sales skills or not. But according to me sales is all about your potential and attitude toward the things, a can do attitude always work in sales,because if its all about degree then why would a large proportion of them fail or remain mediocre at best.. so according to me if you have the potential and strong will power then degree can take a back seat and you will be good sales person for sure..

Doing MBA will enhances sales skills is not compulsory. MBA Course will enhance your Personality Development, Your Presentation skill and Other mode to attract the customer to have a successful sale result but sales skills is upgraded from time to time by experience.Sales is a skill which can't be taught in class or can be learnt it totally based on experience.

Well I don't know much about sales.
But I know that sales is generating the need of your product/service for the prospect client and selling them in accordance to that generated need.

And these skills can not be taught or learned in a four-wall room classroom.
One can engrave SALES SKILLS only through experiencing the live situations.
