According to me competition is necessary in any field.without competition there will be no growth. It helps in increasing sales, profits. It leads to innovation of new products. It creates healthy environment among the sellers.First we should compete with ourselves and then we should try to compete with the others. The ways to survive in competition are you should be hardworking, dynamic and innovative. These features not only help you personally but also helps in increasing the sales and profits of company.

Absolutely ...competition has many advantages too.competition builds a sense of awareness to consumers.consumers have ample of choices to choose from .
in spite of times when there was no or less competition the variety in things was not there and choices to consumers were so less.
competitive pricing leads to benefit of end consumer.
we can take example of Pepsi and coke the beverages market of India is mainly dominated by these two players only.so now if one charges more price than others sale would be more which will be bad for it.so if competition would be there a check would be there and the profit of consumers is there at every point .

As we know sales is quite interesting activity, we have customers varied from time to time and expectations do increase from time to time at a greater extent. we take an example of mobile phone previously it was enough to have calling and text facility now we moved to smart era were a mobile phone is not less than a personal computer, so it infers that competitive edge has grown and the same in marketing, your product different than others is only thing from which you can sustain in competition.

not in all case u need to have a unique feature, but always u need some unique marketing skills which should make your product different than others. proper "customer research" and putting forward what "customer exactly needs" is what u need to do but with unique marketing skills which makes yours sales go up.

Competition, is necessary to be everywhere in every area and organization. Because to grow competition is necessary.
And competition in sales is very important. Because to target the maximum customers of the market a company or organization has to present the product which should be unique to the customers.
And the thing to be unique in the market increase the competition and grows the technology and knowledge.

Competition between the two sales person increase their knowledge and new strategies to attract the customer.

While in technology new gadgets with new technology makes the competitor to perform even well to attract the more customers towards product by
showing them and providing many options to the customers.

Businesses exist in a competitive environment. For example, supermarkets are in fierce competition with each other to provide the best possible value for money goods, and to offer the most suitable range of products for their customers. Businesses compete in many ways. One of the most obvious ways is over price. For example, book sellers on the Internet compete to supply the same book at the cheapest price to customers. However, in addition there are many forms of non-price competition, e.g. location - being at the most convenient location for customers, customer service - giving the best personal attention to the needs of customers, customisation of products - providing additional features to products to cater for particular customer groups e.g. route finding satellite navigation on some models of cars, other forms of non-price competition.

Competition is the rivalry among sellers trying to achieve such goals as increasing profits, market share, and sales volume by varying the elements of the marketing mix: price, product, distribution, and promotion. Merriam-Webster defines competition in business as "the effort of two or more parties acting independently to secure the business of a third party by offering the most favorable terms. Hence the competition has its advantage as it helps the organisation to produce more quality products which help them in gaining the advantage over the consumers.

Competition nowadays what we call is a "RAt RACE". Competition is increasing day by day. We as businessmen should know the tactics of how to face such competiion and how to compete in this rat race. Change is constant. SImilarly competition also changes every day. Every year 3.6 crores company shut down but also on ther hand every year 3.6 crores company start up. This is how competition is. We should not only compete with others, but before competing with others we sould compete with ourselves and raise our standards also so that we can compeete with the giant MNC's out there. The only ay to survive in ths competition is we should not be resistant to change rather accept it as this will help us going ahead in competition.

Competition definitely has its own advantage but only then when we have competition with our self.. but if we compete with the outside/others, then there we will stuck at the point where other's have stopped..

If we compete with other's we may create benchmarks but if compete with our self, we may shatter all the bench marks already created either by us or by someone else..

No matter I agree hard work is needed by if done with positive motivation and strong convictions then I strongly believe only I am competition to myself..
