Employee Relations refers to HR strategies aimed at improving employee morale so they can facilitate the organization's efforts to achieve its objectives. ER activities include solving work place problems that effect employee satisfaction, apart from problem solving, boosting employee morale so that the employees can reach their peak productivity is also one of the functions of ER activities. Good ER practices can give the organization a competitive edge over the competitors. ER policies are most effective when they are properly written, executed and the HR personal in charge of overseeing the policies ensure that the policies are followed.
