When we look around we see individuals being awarded for their good deeds and hard work. Rewards and recognition acts as a motivational factor for the individuals in order to work more hard and achieve success. When a person achieves something great and he is not rewarded then it leads to discontent and then the person doesn't feel like doing the hard work again. So its really important to felicitate the individual in order to motivate him. After all , hard work should pay off and be recognised.

Along with rewards and recognition, if an employee can see a good growth chart with the company he/she is working in, it could do wonders in motivating the person

A rewards program should be inclusive of both the monetary elements and the non monetary elements, combined to create a program which effectively increases the productivity of the employees as well as ensuring that they stay with the company for a considerable duration in future, when there are many options available to them. Fulfilling the employees' needs and going beyond just their needs to reward them with various monetary and non monetary incentives, positively impacts the company's ability to attract talent and to create a productive workforce. A company can also attach the rewards to team performance and the performance of the organization to promote teamwork. Workforce can make or break the company, thus it's important for the company to recognize the employees as invaluable assets and develop elaborate rewards and recognition programs to ensure that the productivity remains high.

In current scenario, Rewards & recognition (R&R) has become the core of HR. Employees are not only concern with the growth and compensation but also looks at the motivation and recognition within the organisation, hence organisation should have great R&R programs for their employees to recognised and motivate to perform. Few R&R we have started in our organisation and any new ideas for R&R are welcome.

1. The Bright Spark: This program recognised the new joiner on successful completion of probation period which helps to minimise new joiner attrition.
2. Thank you - Peer-to-peer: This program authorised employees to recognised co-worker which build to co-operative culture.
