Nowadays, all the organisations are concerned about their employees performance. So they are organising and arranging various Orientation Programme, Training and Reviews on periodic basis so that the employee can evaluate and improve their performance. Rewards and Recognition inspire and motivate the employees to perform better and attain their personal goals as well as organisational goals.
All these techniques leads to huge increment in various parameters of the organisation.

Performance improvement is a technique where performance is analysed , gap is measured and a system is set up for better performance in future. I personally believe it also depends on the mentor you have for your assignment. If there is a gap in the performance of an individual then it is also a responsibility of a boss or a mentor to guide an individual and help in prospering in a better way for the future assignments. Also it is the duty if an individual to analyse the gap and understand the system to perform better in the future.

When talking of improving staff performance, there are two types of improvements that can be made. Improvements that can be implemented immediately and improvements that require time, resources and long term solutions. If the firm wants employees to refrain from behaving in a certain manner, coercive disciplinary actions can be used to improve an employee's performance. However if the issues related to the performance are more complex in nature, they might require counselling, training and other log term solutions.

The expectations of the firm when it comes to the performance should be communicated to the employees in the written format. If the employees fail to meet these expectations then they should be given a notice. Supervisor and employees should discuss the issues and then the areas that need improvement should be addressed accordingly.

There are several techniques to improve the performance but the most common methods used are like Training, case studies, and workshops. Training is the best method as it find out weakness and strengths of particular person. We need to improve each and every day. Same old methods cant work on each and everyone. New technics need to be imparted through regular training to improve the performance
