Job description and job specification are two different parts of job and both are equally important. Job description basically deals with the duties , tasks and responsibilities required for taking up any job. However job specifications deals with the skills , expertise and technicalities required by an individual for taking up any job.
Hence to conclude with job description and job specification both plays an important role
