GST which has been passed been in the Lok Sabha but still awaits consensus in Rajya Sabha as opposition parties are stalling the bill on various issues. As this bill will streamline the tax regime in India and to a great extent it will simplify our tax system. The NDA government has not enough number to pass it at their own in Rajya Sabha but our political parties should understand the benefits of this bill leaving aside their political differences.

For last few days Rajya Sabha is not able to conduct its regular business and govt will have to lobby hard to get the opposition parties on board. If this bill gets passed India's ranking in ease of doing business will definitely improve.

Let's hope it gets passed in this ongoing winter session.
