MBA students are generally more risk averse than the average entrepreneur. An MBA is helpful if you aren't sure what you want to do, because you can meet people from all over the world from different industries and different functions.

MBA students are generally more risk averse than the average entrepreneur. An MBA is helpful if you aren't sure what you want to do, because you can meet people from all over the world from different industries and different functions. It also helps with presentation and speaking skills (although some people take it too far and come across as arrogant as some of the other answers noted). If you know you want to be a product manager and know what area of technology you want to focus on, an MBA would not be as helpful as direct experience.

Entrepreneurship is a subject that deals with starting any business or trade practices on our own. It is a vast subject which deals with an area of innovation technological advancements and generation of new ideas. It gives an individual to think out of the box, something different which is not existing in the current scenario. Entrepreneurs develop skills and become proficient in that arena to become a successful entrepreneur. MBA helps in developing skills , attaining excellency & understanding the outside world in a better and a managed way. The subjects of MBA gives an edge to understand business in a better way. However , this doesn't mean that only MBA's can be a better entrepreneur. There are famous examples which proves even without a degree of MBA, have become a great entrepreneurs. For example Mark Zuckersberg - founder of Facebook is a college drop out , but he became a very successful entrepreneur. MBA helps in guiding and understanding management in a more systematic way as here not only practical experience is given but also theoretical experiences are added. Hence to conclude with entrepreneur having MBA degree will become successful entrepreneur , but if you have right dedication, skill and desire to succeed then nobody can stop you from becoming an entrepreneur.

MBA can become a good entrepreneur but not all.Now a days every 2nd person is MBA.MBA in finance, marketing, sales, operations,HR etc. There is a boon for MBA's in every field..To become a entrepreneur only MBA degree is not required.Apart from MBA, business knowledge, sales tricks, management skills, time management, visualize goal and success etc...These traits are inbuilt its only nourish while doing MBA.Rest of the things will come from experience, enthusiasm and knowledge.According to INSEAD and HBR study 60% of the top CEO in India do not have an MBA degree.

An MBA can become a good entrepreneur but there is no guarantee that every MBA can venture out new business. MBA is nothing but generally two year education program where an individual learns the basic of the business and study about the top corporations' various cases. An entrepreneur which has a burning desire to do something, confidence to accomplish his mission, risk taking capabilities and these are individual's own traits which are difficult to instill in a student during these two years. So for an entrepreneur these things are basic and can be harnessed to a certain level.

So an individual with traits mentioned above can become really a good entrepreneur.

There's no guarantee that MBA professional can be a good entrepreneur. There are many example drop outs from schools and colleges have become world renowned entrepreneurs. People like Bill Gates, Mark Zukerberg, Steve Jobs.etc are all college dropouts but have become world business leaders in their respective businesses. So it depends on business acumen and not on MBA degree to be good entrepreneurs.

This is one of the hot discussion topic among an MBA and non-MBA.An MBA provides a fair amount of knowledge about historical business case studies, finance, and other topics — all of which can be useful. But It is in no way a substitute for real management experience and that's where it can be harmful — when the holder of the MBA thinks they know how to manage, because they have an MBA.

To be better, they no need to have real management experience and real management experience can be acquired without MBA also.
