Re: Is Indian Pharma Industry under Scanner..??
Coming in second innings and doing the turnaround would not be easy as the rut would have gone down to lowest levels . Let us hope that Murthy at this age comes up with the vision which changes its images which has really taken a beating recently

See some thing has come in media and then that industry suddenly come under scanner that is all right but truly speaking if anyone wants to see the truth they just dig any industry and they shall find dishonesty at the helm of every company in that industry.
Today honesty has taken the back seat because of many reasons both external and internal pressures

Is Indian Pharma Industry under Scanner..??
After Ranbaxy now its Wockhardt which has been put down under the scanner after the FDA issued an import alert banning the import of products made at one of its plants at Aurangabad in Maharashtra..as a result it can lose up to $100 million in annualized revenue. These kind of issues can really be a harm to India's image as a low cost drugs manufacturer as its not just about Ranbaxy and Wockhardt only, its an overall impact on the pharma industry.
Its is the worst phase for the pharma sector and its future is also unforeseeable..As Top Indian drug makers including Sun Pharmaceutiucal Industries Ltd, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd, Lupin Ltd and Cadila Healthcare Ltd, besides Wockhardt and Ranbaxy, also operate several manufacturing plants abroad..So no-one can predict thier future also..In past also the pharma sector faced such kind of issues, as in the recent development several export consignments from companies such as Cipla Ltd and Dr Reddy’s were seized at European ports on charges of patent infringements.
So whats your opinion about this issue..your comments & suggestions are welcome..
