Yes, after new amendment in Company law every company must denote some sort of amount and every such company is having CSR Corporate Social Responsibility department however the question is if NGOs and Trust are doing their job properly or it's just tax saving thing for big people???? I believe most are NGO are not doing their job properly and government should make some regulation for them as well.

As per companies bill 2009 passed by Rajaya sabha recently it is mandatory for companies with net worth of Rs. 500 crore or more; a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore or more; and a net profit of Rs 5 crore or more during any financial year to contribute 2% of average net profits for development of society.

No doubt development need financial support, but imagine if we can device a mechanism to motivate and engage work force of these top companies in societal development will be million helping hands...
