Digital Marketing is the use of electronic media such as personal computer, tablet, mobile phones etc to promote brands or services. It helps the company to understand what is working and what not in real time. Use of social media and Google search engine is one of the major ways of doing Digital Marketing. There are 2 ways in which the search results appear, one is called organic while the other is called inorganic. Organic is one which shows normal search results and generate more trust and are unpaid whereas inorganic search is the one in which ads are shown which are paid and generates less trust. The various ways by which cost could be incurred by the company is Cost per Click (CPC) which is a specific cost for each click, Cost per Impression (CPI) which is the charged on the basis of display of the advertisement. CPM is the cost per thousand impressions. Cost per acquisition (CPA) is the cost which is whenever an acquisition happens. Cost per Lead (CPL) is the cost on the basis of lead generated.
