The best ways to advertise today is by engaging people. The more, the better. Time travel to the 90’s and the early 2000’s, the ones with a catchy slogan and famous celebrities were the ones making the advertisement world. Not today. With technology and digital media making a mark, advertisers are coming with unique ways to promote their brand and advertise.

Various ad campaigns are being organised involving the common people. It is helping them to associate themselves with the brand. Take a recent campaign by Listerine, where it challenges people to get closer; involving an interactive billboard is creating magic. Unique ways are being brought up by advertisers which are engaging people more, involving them in activities and advertising their product.

We need to keep innovating and bringing in new ways to advertise now and then. In today’s era, definitely engaging mankind is the mantra. Brands are getting overwhelming response taking this route of advertisements. Therefore, its rightly said, do not just advertise, engage.

Could one agree more to this statement?
If you travel some 10 years back and take a look at the advertising media of that era, products were were marketed in the simplest way, the ads would be like a beautiful woman showing the product and singing the catchline in most of the cases. For big brands, the beautiful lady would be a celebrity. Ads were not even as frequent and widespread as it is now. One product usualyy had only one advertisemnet that was broadcasted across all the channels on TV.Since social media was a far fetched dream then, hence all advertisements were aired only on TV.
But now, ads are much more innovative as compares to those days. We hardly find brands advertising in the old ways any longer. Modern day ads have emotions attached to them. Every ad has a story to tell, be it on Television or a print ad on a billboard.
Moreover , with the prowess of social media gallore, ads are going viral. Youtube, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebbok, Twitter, Linkedin have take ads to a whole new level.
So it has been rightly stated " In this era, Do not advertise, Engage"
