When we talk of any sales deal, there are two sides to the transaction. The seller wants to sell his product to the potential customer, but at the same time the customer is also looking for the right product. Whether a sales closure was a stroke of luck or the result of the sales person’s efforts depends on whether it was the sales person who searched hard for the customer, and made efforts to communicate the value of the product to the customer, or it was the customer who found the seller.

The elasticity of the product also decides how much persuasion is required on the seller’s part. If there are more sellers selling the same product then also closing the deal would require a great deal of efforts on the part of the seller.

Closing a sale is a moment of achievement for a sales person. He or she looks forward to this moment right from the moment he strikes a conversation with his or her client.
Now, the question being, Sales Closure: Does it happen because of luck or hard work or both?
I'd say closing a sale is a blend of both a factors and a tinge of another called 'skill', closing a sale is not as easy as it looks. All of us have been through situations when we have been conversed into buying something even when it was no where in our wishlist. Now, let us for a moment recall one such event and try and identify the factors that led us to make the purchase.
In 80% of the situations, you'll see the sales person had less to do, i.e the product sold itself. in other words, it was too attractive to walk past by without buying.
In others, maybe the sales person had more to do, he made u feel the need of the product, he made you identify a apace in your life for the product he is offering. So, what a good marketer should do is, identify the strength of the product and play on it. Instead of trying to sell the product, he or she should try to convince the customer how useful the product is for him or her.

Sales closure is the goal for which the efforts and planning of a sales person is put to teat. This is the most important part of the sales meet. The point where this happens is planned and practiced by each sales person. It depends on his capacity and competency to go for a sucessful sales closures. At times it is due to luck but most of time it is because of hard luck and planning ,sweat that goes in the effort of a sales person. It depends on the knowledge and skill of the sales person to have s succesful sales closures. It depends on the interation and identification of the need of the customer. Followed by it is the satisfaction of the need and giving the solution needed by the customer to go for a sales closures. In a mix of both the luck and hard work the propotion of hard work is definately more for a sucessful sales close. The sales person is definately involved in his delivery of a sucessful identification of customer and give him the desired soluton to give a perfect sales close. I am sure sales closure is the because of hard work and effort that counts.

From my point of View,Sales closure happens because of both i.e. luck and hardwork. In that hardwork plays an important role. Salesperson has to deal with customer, identify the requirements of customer and then complete the order within a timeline. This requires continuous hardwork. Without hardwork, sales closure never happens. If a person sitting on chair and doing nothing, then it will not be happen. If we do some effort to sales closure then luck also came in favor. So salesclosure is a combination of luck and hardwork.

As someone said that more you work hard, the more luckier you will become. Hence, applying the same quote for this context also, i will say that sales closures happens because of hard work.

Sales and hard work can be used interchangeably. A sale requires lot of dedication and hard work to know your customers, their preferences & their wants. One has to do a lot of work, carry out market research to know your customers, to get deep understanding about them and their behavior of purchase. Along with hard work, luck matters a lot. It is the luck that gives you a sense when to talk & how to deal (speaking to the right person at the right time) and when to shut your mouth. Therefore, I would say sales closures: happens because of hard work having a flavor of luck.

Sales closures: Happens neither because of luck nor Hard work, it’s because of smart work.

You may get customer by luck, turning him into potential customer who buys your product. That’s your smartness! Mazed?

Nowadays customer is not a gaga whom you can fool. He is smart now; he has all accessibility at his figure tips. He knows all details about a product and in perfect competition he knows which is best suitable to him. In this situation, if you sticking to your old legacy and though you do hard work to get sales closure nothing works. You have to make strategies according to conditions and update yourself.

Assume you as a consumer, if you get same kind of service and offers from a ‘company A’. You may delight once. After some time if you are getting same service and offers from ‘company A’ but better service from ‘company B’. Which one do you prefer?

This is how smartness works. Think smart, sell smart. :)
