Online sales on the one hand give privilege to the customers to sit at home and perform there activities of buying and selling the product, whereas on the other hand there is also a sense of absence of physical substance and product to the customers. For example- If a customer is buying Kurtis online, then she must choose the size according to her daily wear, but certain brands have different sizes then other brands , hence in online sales, one could not find the accurate match for there body and sometimes the color shown on the websites are different then the product in the reality. therefore, people are really not confident while buying costly stuff from the online portals.

Online sales is growing day by day. There are so many online portal these days. Every product that we used to buy physically is available online. This is because of the upgrading technology. We should accept this technology and make use of it to the fullest. Online sales helps in generating extra revenue. However, there are disadvantages to this also. You cannot touch the product, feel it etc. There can be net banking issues also. However companies are try to overcome such disadvantages by providing schemes such as 30 days return policy, if you don't like the product then they will replace free. So, all such schemes are helping to grow online sales more.

Online sales is increasing day by day. Today everyone is shifting to online model rather with a offline model already established. It helps in generating extra revenue. More than with the upgradation of technology, we should also upgrade ourselves with the technology so that we don't lag behind in case of technology acceptance and use. Moreover, people nowadays are preferring online purchase. So, we should also see it to that people's tastes and preferences are changing and we should develop strategies to increase our sales. Here also, risks are associated. People in online sales cannot feel the product, there is absence of product. Then there are frauds and crimes that take place on web these days. All these threats and crimes are very risky for products and services. So, we should take steps and develop strategies as to how the company's online portal can be protected, Not only the online portal but also how to protect the customers from the online frauds and cheats.

Online sales the latest vogue in retail has already added new feathers to this huge hat of sales.
Risk associated with online sales can be that a manufacturer has to decide the margins at which it is going to sell the online retailer.
If similarl product is available with online retailer at a lesser amount then there are going to be discrepancies between manufacturer and traditional channel sales retailer.

According to me, Risks associated with online sales is 'Fake online Reviews' A collection of five star ratings can do amazing things for online sellers. social media sites like Facebook twitter and yelp may provide a stronger, direct relation to people's opinion. I always recommended to focus on customer interaction on their Facebook and twitter. it helps to reduce their risk of people.
2-Order never arrives- I believe the likelihood of an order not arriving, increase when third party sellers.

Online retail is the place to go, beats the high street every time on choice & convenience! Only downfalls are having to wait for the product to arrive and not being able to try on or have a go with whatever product you are purchasing…I’ve heard that some sites are looking into using digital models with your body shape/size to help with that…we shall see! Hope the high street doesn’t die though!
