Marketing has evolved over the years. With the IT revolution marketing has also changed its strategies :D . Today the world is connected to the Internet of Things. So are the change in the marketing techniques required. This calls for taking an extra edge in marketing. Though the fundamentals like STP, customer insight, branding etc remains the same the new marketing techniques like social media marketing, inbound marketing, content marketing have to be incorporated.
Some tips for making marketing effective-
1. Infographic Marketing
Combining images with a minimal amount of text to explain a topic and provide statistical information or data from research studies. An image centric idea will certainly will be able to make the ad recall in customers mind. This also includes using marketing channels like Pininterest and Whatsapp
2. Publicising Customer Feedback
On the public relations tools advertising positive feedbacks can also act as a marketing strategy. Also creating brand advocacy can add to this.
3. Ad Retargeting-
Utilizing browser cookies to track the websites that users visit is also a marketing strategy that has evolved over the past 2-3years. As the ecommerce industry is growing showing repeated images of products or services customers has searched can bring positive results in the long run. This also calls for SMAC technology or Data Analytics. It is psychologically proved that this keeps the brand and the product at the top of consumer’s mind. Also simple exposures to brand names and logos can create familiarity, which then builds trust and makes consumers more likely to make a purchase.
4. Search Engine Optimization-
Today every article on net are accompanied by links to share. The more people that are sharing a piece of content, the higher quality it’s likely to be, and more the increase in its position in search engine results. This is why the top ranking results have more shares.
