Yes..There are lot of lessons for Sales & marketing professionals which can be learned from AAP.. The victory of AAP is not only political one, it has changed the way elections are fought in the country & how brands can reach out to their target customers.

It's necessary for sales & marketing professionals to understand the need of customers.. From the very beginning, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal clearly understood the pain points of delhiites..

Volunteers of AAP were always there in touch with people & hence they were very well aware of the problems delhiites facing, which strengthened their positioning strategy.

Marketing professionals should think of ideas which are easy to execute with low costs & high results. AAP has a small backup of funds.. they motivated thousands of people to volunteer for AAP and people happily participated in the event. This was possible because of the correct communication strategy used by AAP. :) :)

“AAP”: The word heard most in each household. From a Non existing entity in early 2012 to a ruling party in Dec 2013, that’s what a Successful Journey is all about. To understand the parallelism between a Successful Sale and AAP’s victory, let’s look at it in detail.

AAP = Company/Seller
Public = Customer
Better Governance in Delhi = Product/Service offered

Be a Company XYZ or a novel Political Organisation like “AAP”, each has a Goal, a Product they offer, a Market they wanna conquer, a Marketing strategy to pursue and a set of ideals they believe in. “AAP” focuses on providing better governance in Delhi by removing corruption to start with and to give the Basic necessities to a “ AAM ADMI” to end with. From there unanticipated victory, we can perceive that we should be crystal clear on the product we offer, have a strong foothold on our values and a clear vision of our goal. If quality is there the cost is overshadowed to a great extent.
Looking at the market for Sales, In case of AAP its the “Aam Admi” which is there everywhere. Be the homeless individual on streets to a NRI living in USA. “AAP” was intelligent and smart enough to use a blend of Online and Door to Door marketing to influence the minds of public in India and abroad, resulting in more popularity in a very short span of time. Likewise a Sales fella ought to localise and focus Marketing in the appropriate market to get fruitful results in less time.

When talking about the Brand Image “Jhaadu” , AAP with its slogan of 'Jhadu Chalao Beimaan Bhagao' (Use the broom, sweep out the corrupt), symbolises its fight against corruption and for cleansing the political system in the country. Using this it has reached every household of the Indian Society. So focus on branding your product in the market so that it makes a powerful image in the minds of the probable customers. Target should be to become a Brand, an Image which sells just by WOM!
To conclude, this is what successful sales is all about! So if “AAP’ can do it so can “U”!! :D

This is true that victory of AAP has as astonished everyone and yes there are few things that can be learned by marketing and sales professional as well like - One can learn the art of speaking, how to talk,how to understand,how to read human emotions and win everybody's hearts and move the mob..Which Mr.Kejriwal did, he focused on the common problems that are being faced by Delhi heights.
Similarly in sales if you know the that what your prospect wants to listen and if you speak accordingly then for sure you will get connect with him emotionally and deal will be 100% yours.

AAP VICTORY.. Indeed a great lesson for Marketing professional..their entire campaign activity should be added in the business school as a case study.. they were very focused from the day 1.. accordingly they strategies their entire campaign.. WOM had played an vital role in their promotional campaign.. and the way they approached the citizen on one to one basis.. by doing cold calling.. give great reason to an individual.. to go for AAP.. Delhi being a capital.. it requires great strength... to convince the citizen of the capital.. this can only be done.. with clarity of thoughts and communications.. the connect they were to maintain among the voters was the key credential of their entire strategies..Having said that.. the current stage of AAP is far more difficult than earlier.. it's the time to execute their words into action..

AAP came as a new brand in to the market of politics.
They marketed themselves after the complete analysis of their target consumers i.e. the general public.
The convincing power through the speeches made by the KEY PEOPLE of the party showed the result by writing history in DELHI.
It would be too soon to make any comments regarding the performance of the AAP as its just the beginning.
About the learning for other parties one should never ignore their consumers as other parties did & the result showed them the power of consumers i.e. the public can make any one king of the market. The same lesson should be learnt by the marketing professionals i.e. to deliver what they promise or else the result will leave them far behind in the race with other competitors.
