Tell me about your short-term and long-term goals as a financial analyst.
How much do you intend to earn in five years? Ten years?
Where do you see your career in five years from now?
Are you willing to align your personal career goals with the organization’s objectives?

Employer-Related Questions: :geek:
What do you know about our organization?
Why should we hire you versus the other applicants?
Why do you want to work for us?
What do you think are the most important elements to consider in helping the organization improve?
What challenges do you foresee while working for us?
What are your expectations from us?

Experience-Related Questions: :geek:
Guide me through your resume.
Cite a situation in your work experience in which you had to perform under pressure.
Describe a situation where you committed a mistake or failed to complete a task and explain how you dealt with it.
What was the most difficult challenge you faced in your previous job?
What were your frustrations with your previous job?
What made you decide to leave your previous job?

Technical-Related Questions: :geek:
Are you capable of creating charts and sales reports?
Explain the concept of a capital market.
How important is ratio analysis in financial planning?
How do you calculate a company’s cash flow?
Which profitability models are useful in forecasting?
What is a cash flow?
Do you have experience using software in financial analysis?
When you are given a large financial analysis project, what is the first thing you do?
Which stocks do you frequently track? Why?
What do you think about derivative statements?

The basic purpose of asking these question is to check the confidence level and mental state of the candidate.. Here, the interviewer tries to infer whether candidate have decided something for his future or not, whether he could be proved as an asset to the organization.. :?: :?:
Keep in mind that you need to do more than confidently answer questions during your financial analyst interview. Utilize your listening skills. Make it a point to allow the interviewer to finish the question, rephrase the question in your mind, and take the time to formulate an intelligent and thorough answer.. :mrgreen:
