Career development is a process which goes on and on. You develop more and more to your career. There is no full stop. The basic career development process starts with a passionate and enthusiastic need where you aspire to become a somebody from a nobody. You should always have that enthusiasm. Then comes the scanning if the alternatives where you scan all the different alternatives and see which career will best suit you according to your interests. Once you decide which will suit you, then you need to take action and implement it. you undertake that career and learn the deep insights of that career. You learn a lot of things and also the skills required to implement the theoretical part practically. Then when you are done with the implementation part, then you develop those skills more and more by implementing it again and again. Then you try to achieve those goals and objectives which you always wanted to achieve. Then you become a expert when you what is to done in which situation. Career development should be done daily, so that you shine out like a diamond. And, with this increasing competition, you need to stand out and achieve things of greater importance and start working out daily on this.

Career development overall is very important for any individual which helps them in grooming themselves and deciding upon the course of action as to what they want to achieve and how they will achieve it. The stages of career development is as follows:

1. SELF ASSESSMENT: Its very important to know what we are and what we aspire to become. Before going on with the plan for future, its crucial to know who we are.

2. CAREER EXPLORATION: Next stage would be to decide what is the course of action as in what goals we want to achieve. Once we know what we want our life to convert into , it would be easy to go ahead with the plans.

3. ACTION PLAN: Once we have determined the goals we want to achieve , we need to decide upon the action plan as to how to achieve it.

4. CAREER MANAGEMENT: Career management means once the goals and particular career is achieved , how to maintain that particular stage in the life .

Career Development is a continues process and has various stages..

After pursuing Formal college education People enter in EXPLORATION Stage..Where they try various options for first few years and identify what suits them best.

After that comes Establishment Stage..Where people set goals in their desired field and make plans to achieve them.

Mid Career Crises> Most of the people fall in this category when they are in Mid 30's where they find themselves away from what they planned to achieve.

Final Stage> After Mid Career Crises Either People look for extreme stability and have very limited goals or People go very Dynamic and acquire very high position in Corporate.
