Strike was never a solution to problems, & it will never be. The maximum it can do is helping in reduction of air pollution, making the urban life noise free for a day or two or making policemen sweat, who otherwise wouldn't have ever came out to administrate the law and crime situation for the entire year.
Again the common man is a sufferer here, he cannot reach office in time, may got stuck in the vandalism created by the anti-social elements. The mango people will again have to bear a price hike of the commodities due to the scarcity.
Gone are the days where in bolly-wood movies we watched some union leader has brought out some favorable results & reasons to cheer.
Today people who call out these strikes, have a complete political motifs and bulk of these strikers on the road have no idea why they are protesting.
Finally I would like to say that these strikes can never bring us any improvements in the system rather deteriorate the condition of common man.

I personally hate strikes because it sometimes makes the things bad to worse. but this is a democratic country everyone has the right to express their views in their own way so people are doing such activities but don'nt know whether it will lead to a solution or not...

Now a days strike is the only option we are left with...with such kind of govt...In our govt no-one is ready to listen common man's voice but after doing such type of protests they are not only listening but also acting on them.It is not just the poor people's voice which comes out in strikes its the voice of the whole community which is been effected by the issues. We should definitely support such strikes until and unless its not doing any harm to the society physically or financially...

In my view, strikes and protests are the last option that the Govt. has left to us.....the people in power are too adamant and busy in other useless activities to listen to the aam-aadmi's demands and needs.... so protests are the only option to bring our demands to their notice.... although I m strictly against violent protests... every strike or protest should be strictly peaceful and the Govt. should also deal with such protestors in the same way.....

Yes, Strike is one of the solution and it really matters in a nation like India because here government wont take any action until and unless the matter is out of the hand or become violent but violence is not the solution or part of strike.By doing violence we are harming our people, our society and our nation.People should do this in a peaceful manner. We all should support them until it is not harming us.This strike is not only for poor people this is for all of us..Rise in price of petrol ,vegetables etc not only affecting poor people but also to middle class people.Raising voice for our needs and to project them through strikes is happening from the time of our independence.
So i am also supporting the strike till it is in a peaceful manner.

A simple question? What is the outcome of this strike? any result? Will petrol, diesel, lpg price come down? price of any item will come down? will manmohan resign? if so is that a solution? this is the great nonsense of organized people. They can do anything, who suffer? common man. Central or state governments or court should intervene and ban these types of strikes. If government has a will it is possible.

Strikes is going on in India today. Is it solution for raising one's voice .

Yes, strike is the solution for a problem because it is the best way to discuss your issues with the opposition...Doing strike is correct but doing violence in that totally incorrect...By sitting on strike and raising your voice the one can express his views that what is going wrong and what is needed to correct it...In strike there is not a voice of a single person but it is a voice of group of people who are facing the same kind of problems...So strike is ok but it should be done in manner that it should not harm anybody physically and financially...

Yes strike is the solution for raising one's voice, Because this is the only way how a common man can convey his message to the government and if you see the reasons behind this strike you will be surprised to see people are on strike for reasons which is the responsibility of a government & when a responsible government is not taking any step, a common man only left with one option i.e. Strike.

Some of the reasons behind the call for Bharat Bandh are mentioned below:
-Price Rise in India
-Implementation of labour laws
-Bring back black money stashed in foreign countries
-Putting an end to Special Economic Zone (SEZs)
-Filling up vacant posts in government jobs
-Withdrawal of foreign direct investment (FDI) in retail sector
-Pensions for all along with removal of ceiling on bonus and provident fund

Yes, in my opinion Strike is the solution for raising one voice, because when we say our problem without strike to Govt , Govt. hardly listens to us , but when we do strike , there is a probability, that govt may listen to us ..

Here I would also like to raise a point, strike is a weapon used by Mahatma Gandhi ji , so it’s never a bad option, but we should remember that strike should not be violent , even in strikes, proper provision should be made for emergency services..

Also , strike is not the ultimate solution for problems but yes in my opinion strike will help in making a corruption free INDIA
