Recently Prime Minister's Jan Dhan Yojna has touched the mark of 11.5 crore bank accounts which have been opened under this scheme. This scheme has brought approximately Rs.10,000 crore into the system in addition to that it has brought 11.5 crore those individuals who as of now had been deprived of banking services. These bank accounts will play important role in fixing up the leakages in the government schemes like giving subsidy and other benefits. Out of those 11.5 crore bank accounts 60 % have been opened in rural areas and these accounts will bring more liquidity into the system. As rural people have lot of liquidity if that can be brought into the system most of the credit problem will be solved.
Now it is the bank's responsibility to keep those accounts in active state and I wish it become a grand success in terms of financial inclusion.
