Feedbacks are always helpful. It helps one to understand the areas they are good at and areas that need improvement. It helps a person to enhance their skills. However, care should be taken that the sentiments of the person is not hurt. It can fire the shot in the opposite direction and instead of motivating the person to work hard might just force the person to lose interest in the job completely. So it is important to give feedbacks effectively so that it is a win win situation for everybody. A lot of things should be taken care of while dealing with feedbacks, and for a positive result should be done effectively. It can be done in multiple ways, personal interview, online, questionnaire etc. One must carefully analyze the situation and then go for the best option.
Effective feedback is not about giving general view; its not about be being conclusive about someone's traits or even behaviour. Feeback is always with respect to a particular situatation or action. While giving feedback one should be specific to a particular situation and demonstrated behaviour. Feedback should starr with statement of fact. The reciver view should be listened with utmost attention. Finally every feedback should end with action plans and recievers' commirment to implement.
