Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee thoroughly deserves Bharat Ratna award and probably he is one of the most deserving recipients. The president of India along with the Prime Minister and other high profile dignitaries went to his residence and awarded the Bharat Ratna personally at his residence. Atalji's life was dedicated to the nation, he lived and thought for the nation every second. He is a real inspiration to the people of this great nation and specially for the upcoming generation. The honor was in recognition of this services to the country as "powerful nationalist leader, one of the longest serving parliamentarians, a poet and a thinker who was not only leader of his own party but of the entire country". He will always be remembered as one of the greatest child of India to have ever lived.

Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee is one of the Indian Prime Minister who is respected by every political party and he is the true leader who has contributed in the development of the country. He went ahead with the several nuclear test irrespective of the pressure from top powers of this world. The roads which are considered lifelines of any economy, Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojana was launched by his government. Under this scheme most of the villages of this country were connected through roads which ultimately translated into the economic development of the country.

Now it was time to honor this great patriot and our President did not leave any stone unturned, he went to former Prime Minister's residence to honor him with Bharat Ratna.
